The talent of Vladimir Ovchinnikov is widely recognized both in Russia and abroad. During his illustrious career, he performed solo concerts at the main theatre venues of countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Japan and many others.

“It is absolutely clear that Ovchinnikov has that transcendental virtuosity with which Prokofiev himself as a pianist surprised the public at the beginning of the last century. Anyone who has ever heard the performance of Vladimir Ovchinnikov - the most sensitive and expressive pianist - is aware of the perfection of the form, the purity and power of the sound that his fingers and intellect reproduce”, this extract from an article of “The Daily Telegraph” largely reflects the brightness and originality of art musician, the successor of the famous school of the Moscow Conservatory.

Sergei Prokofiev wrote the music for the “Cinderella” ballet during the World War II and its premiere took place at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow in November 1945.

The cycle "The Seasons" has been the most performed piano composition of Piotr Tchaikovsky for 150 years. Many pianists, for example, Sergei Rachmaninov, performed and recorded separate pieces from this cycle.

The concerts will be held within the framework of the project “Russian Theatre Seasons in Cyprus”, implemented by the Embassy of Russia and the Russian Cultural Centre with the support of a number of Cyprus partner organizations and municipalities and under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades.
