CyprusEvents.net is one of the most comprehensive online events resource in Cyprus. In this website you can find news and information for cultural, social, musical, sporting, political, educational and all other kinds of events that take place on our island.
We aim to include as many events as possible and our users are encouraged to submit their own events, or events they know about and are not already included. Events can be listed in English or Greek.
Following are some of the major features of our portal.
Finding Events
Finding events in our website is easy. You can use the mini calendar to go directly to any date where events are available and you will be presented with the events of that date.
You may also apply an Event Filter which allows you to select the districts and/or categories you are interested in. After applying the filter the lists with events as well as the mini calendar will display only those events which satisfy your preferences.
If you want to search over multiple dates you can use the advanced search facility, which also gives you a live preview for the number of events that meet your criteria.
Events on Map
An alternative and more visual way of finding events is our Events on Map web application. With Events on Map the venues of available events that meet your criteria are plotted on the map, making it easy for you to identify events that are happening near you, or near a location you are planning to visit.
Events on Mobile
With your mobile phone you can now browse the Cyprus events from anywhere. All you need to do is to point the browser of your mobile phone to CyprusEvents.mobi, a light and fast loading site designed specifically for the small screen of mobile devices. More info about CyprusEvents.mobi.
Event Email Alerts and Feeds
Subscribe to our Email Alerts for the districts and/or categories of your choice and you will receive email notifications with links to the upcoming events you are interested in.
More advanced users might prefer our RSS and iCal subscriptions. You can subscribe to receive all of our events by using one of the links on the sidebar, or you can create a custom feed with only the districts, categories and even keywords of your choice.
Event Details Tools
When you find an event that you like our portal provides to you a few tools to make sharing and saving that event easy.
With one click you can share the event on the social network of your choice, such as Digg, Facebook and MySpace or you can just use the Email to a Friend feature to send a link for that event to your friend(s).
You can also save that event on your Google Calendar, Yahoo! Calendar, Outlook Calendar, iCalendar or any other desktop application which can handle iCal files.
