Reinvented Histories
The Evagoras and Kathleen Lanitis Foundation in collaboration with the Association of Fashion Designers of Cyprus and the support and collaboration of the Museum of Traditional Art, organises the exhibition ‘REINVENTED HISTORIES, from Tradition to Contemporary Fashion’ from 28th of June until 14th of July, at Evagoras Lanitis Centre in Limassol.
The exhibition which is curated by the art director Andreas Antoniou presents contemporary creations of 15 Cypriot fashion designers inspired by Cypriot traditional costumes. This is an “open dialogue” between the contemporary art creation and the traditional costumes and accessories from the collection of the Museum of Traditional Art.
The following designers participate in the exhibition:
Christos Avraam, Antonia Chambi, Barbara Christofi, Eleni Gircalli, Marios Gregoriades, Afroditi Hera, Kika Ioannidou, Fotini Lamnissos, Joanna Louca, Marina Nicolaidou, Pantelis Panteli, Tota Patsalidou, Christina Pitsillidou, Dora Schabel, Lana Sevas, Elena Strongyliotou, Tita Stylianou.
Special Guest Designers: Erotokritos, Mastori Motwary Studio, Charilaos Meletiou
