We Will Live, Not Die!

Cyprus : We Will Live, Not Die!

All his works are imbued with a deep love for his native land and simple villagers, who spend their whole lives in hard work, but who know how to sincerely love, laugh and believe. The play “We will live, not die!” Is optimistic, filled with bright humor and kind attitude to the life of a Russian person.

The play combines the V. Shukshin stories “Dreams of the Mother”, “Letter”, “Mille pardons, Madame!”, and some excerpts from the journalistic article “Morality is Truth”.

Throughout the performance, Russian folk songs, chastushkas born on the famous native land of Shukshin- Altai are performed on the stage. The performance will be shown in Russian with subtitles in greek.
