Theo-Mass Lexileictous - Postdigitalism
Following Theo-Mass Lexileictous’s book titled Theo-Mass Times, published by the Cyprus Contemporary Art Museum and several collaborations with some of the leading names from the arts and fashion world, the relatively unknown masked artist is ready to present his latest work titled #POSTDIGITALISM at Morfi Gallery in Limassol. The #POSTDIGITALISM episode deals with issues that concern the digital world, the evolution of the internet, technology and social networks after 2010 as well as the impact of an image or a piece of text created to be distributed in the web or in social media sites like facebook, tumblr, twitter and instagram in the substantial world. The artist will present a series of images created using the 3d body and face scanner as well as sculptures created using technologies like the 3d printing.
On the opening night, on May 31, the public will be able to experience Theo-Mass’s first performance in Cyprus as well as the launch of the #POSTDIGITALISM manifesto video.
The exhibition shall remain open until 18 June 2013.
