Zaatar & Jazzified jointly welcomes the 'IOANNIS VAFEAS TRIO' with Ronja Burve. In 2019, Ioannis Vafeas (drums) meets Michael Messios (double bass) and Christos Yerolatsitis (piano). They will be presenting, adding to the current Cyprus Jazz scene, not only well known jazz standards but also original compositions. Vafeas and Messios have a long background together characterized by superb musicianship and creativity. Their common understanding and connection – on and off the stage – enables them to easily interact and bring their enthusiasm to their audience. The trio is embraced by C.Yerolatsitis’ great enthusiasm, talent and energy, while this time they invited Ronja Burve (from Latvia) a contemporary singer whose musical identity can be distinguished by creativity, emotionally poignant performance, experimental style and current lyrics.
