Music Souvenir

A magnificent concert titled "Music Souvenir", by Flautissimo Limassol Flute Choir with soloists Theodoros Krasides at the Flute and Harp, George Krasidis at the Clarinet and Saxophone, Marios Andreou Dramatic Tenor and Nikolas Lambrianidis at the Flute.

“Music Souvenir”. A concert that offers a puzzle of music styles through time and regions, from the classical area to the 20th century and from the New World and Celtic lands washed by the Atlantic to our sun-kissed Mediterranean home. The program includes, amongst others, famous classics for instance Mozart’s Hallelujah, exquisite operatic pieces like O Mio Babbino Caro, famous Celtic traditional melodies, pieces from musicals such as The Sound of Music, rag time and jazz like the romantic Blue Moon, but also renowned Cypriot and Greek songs such as Nefeli’s Tango, arranged for these instruments. The combination of the sounds of the flute, the harp, the clarinet, the sax and voice, in conjunction with the beautiful atmosphere of the church, add up to a majestic program, with the distinctive signature of the artistic director Theodoros Krasides, that will surely impress and satisfy all audiences!

The concert is under the auspices of Limassol mayoress, Mrs Elena Nicolaidou. Proceeds will be donated to NGO “Prosvasi”, an organisation dedicated to working with people that are socially excluded such as people with special needs, minorities and other disadvantaged people.
