Traditional Music Night with "Korasies" in the garden
The traditional music group “Korasies” returns to Technopolis 20, on Friday, June 10 at 9pm. This time the group will perform to the outdoor venue of Technopolis 20, launching at the same time the garden and the open-air stage of the venue for this season.
The four girls that consist the music group (Natasa Kafalia - lute and voice, Katerina Theodorou – violin, Marianna Moumtzi – qanun, Maria Savva – percussions) will present a music programme that includes songs from Cyprus but also from different areas of Greece such as Asia Minor, Thrace, Crete and Aegean – songs known or not, but always with the promise of nights full of entertainment and dance.
“Korasies” from early age showed their interest and love for traditional music. They started with traditional dance at the Agioi Omologites Cultural Center in Nicosia and then joined the traditional band, playing in different presentations and music evenings under the guidance of Andreas Christodoulou.
In November 2015 they made their first appearance as “korasies” (meaning girls). In every event they appear they create a friendly atmosphere where they try to pass their love for this genre of music and dance.
