Eve Makis - Book Event
The author Eve Makis who will be presenting her most recently published work, ‘The Spice Box Letters’ on Tuesday 2 May at the Armenian General Benevolent (AGBU) club, Nicosia.
Eve will be talking about why she decided to write her latest novel and the challenges she faced as a Greek Cypriot writing about a subject like the Armenian Genocide and its descendants.
A cocktail reception will follow after the talk kindly supplied by Makkas Winery and Marks & Spencer. The English and Greek editions of the books will be on sale at the event.
Eve Makis is author “Eat, Drink and Be Married”, “The Mother-in-Law”, The Land of the Golden Apple”. A film adaptation of Land of the Golden Apple, titled ‘Boy on the Bridge’ will be screened this May in Cyprus.
