The work is illustrated on page 109 of the George Polyviou Georgiou catalogue by Niki Loizidou and on page 76 of the GEORGE POL GEORGIOU catalogue, A.G. Leventis Foundation, estimate €33.000 - €45.000. Two works by Christoforos Savva “Women Washing At The Well”, oil on canvas, 1952, 56x65 cm and “Dead Bird In Red”, oil on canvas, 89x45 cm, illustrated in the CHRISTOFOROS SAVVA catalogue pages 200 and 280 respectively, estimate €27.000 - €45.000 and €7.000 - €12.000. “Lapithos”, by Adamantios Diamantis. This is a 1930’s work, oil on canvas, 23x36 cm, estimate €16.500 - €30.000. “Work In The Orchard”, Michael Chr. Kashalos, oil on wood, 60x90 cm. This work was purchased by the current owner in 1972 from the artist’s atelier, estimate €16.000 - €25.000. “Vase With Flowers And Rosary”, Solomos Frangoulides, oil on canvas, 64x49 cm., estimate €13.000 - €20.000. “Greek Beach”, Michalis Economou, (1888-1933) estimate €12.000 - €20.000.

A work by German sculptor Ernst Gustav Herter, “The Dying Achilles”, bronze, 82x110x53 cm, has inspired particular interest. This work was brought to Cyprus by Saoulis, an Egyptian merchant, in the 1950’s. Estimate €80.000 - €120.000.

The catalogue includes five works by Ioannis Kissonergis, 4 oil paintings and 1 aquarelle. “The Birth Of Aphrodite”, oil on canvas, 102x75 cm, estimate €15.000 - €25.000. “Karpasitopoula With Spindles”, oil on hardboard, 22x34 cm, estimate €11.000 - €16.000. “Karpas Coast”, oil on cardboard, 22x34 cm, estimate €8.000 - €13.000. “Andreas O Protoklitos” (the First-Called), icon, oil on wood, 27x19 cm, estimate €4.500 - €8.000. “Old Nicosia”, aquarelle, 24.5x31 cm, estimate €3.500 - €5.000. “The Fishmonger”, by Stefanos Lantzas, oil on canvas, 100x70 cm, estimate €9.000 - €15.000. This work comes from the collection of the USHAKOVs, a historic Russian family. “Horse”, by Paris Prekas, oil on canvas, 97x97 cm, estimate €9.000 - €15.000. “Apples On A Village Chair”, by Telemachos Kanthos, oil on hardboard, €6.000 - 9.000. The following works by the same artist are also presented: “Almond Trees In The Afternoon”, 1941, €2.200 - €4.000 and the etching “Escape”, 1977, €700 - €1.100. “Untitled”, a work by Oby Zouni, oil on canvas, 70x70 cm and “The Newlyweds”, a work by A.
