Works by Cypriot Composers
The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra with the participation of members of the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra presents a programme that showcases works by Cypriot composers: “Six Little Paintings” by N. Vichas, “Naked Branches I” by Chr. Athinodorou, “Ups and Downs” by A. Yiangopoulos, “Dionysian dances” by Chr. Georgiades and “Kypriada” by A. Kameris.
The programme is dedicated to works by five contemporary Cypriot composers, which are inspired by the history and culture of Cyprus, as well as by the experience of contemporary life. It is a small sample of the rich musical treasure and visions of Cypriot creators of music today, which reinforces their active presence in the global musical landscape.
