With the engraver Charalambos Margaritis, you will learn how to engrave your own drawing and make prints of it learning the process and skills required to engrave and print as an expert.

The current exhibition 'Reprint' will be the inspiration through which we can appreciate the finesse and dynamics of this medium,

Charalambos Margaritis was born in 1985 in Cyprus.
He graduated from the National Superior Fine Arts School of Paris (ENSBA) in 2012. His work is centred around printmaking, animated films, drawing and painting. In 2010 he studied the traditional icon painting techniques with the monk Paisios Agrapides in the Cell of Saint Archangels in Karyes of Mount Athos, where he resided for three months.

He participated in several exhibitions in France and Cyprus and his animated films have been selected in various film festivals around the world. He has created several video clips for musicians in France and Greece. He regularly collaborates with the musical ensemble Trio Dell’Arte and Chrysostomos Neofytou, creating audiovisual concerts combining classical music and animation. His last two collaborations with the ensemble were the visual concert “Collapse” (2016) and the audiovisual show “Janus” (2017).

In 2017 he curated the exhibition “The Big Mosaic” in May 2017, a project in the framework of the European Capital of Culture PAFOS2017. In October 2017 he directed the short animated film festival “The Animattikon Project” and in November 2017 he created the animated segments of the audiovisual presentation “Re:mains”, by Christina Athinodorou.

He is a member of the artistic collective “Miracle”, that is based in Paris but collaborates with a lot of artists (plasticians, poets, writers, philosophers and others) in many countries, such as Benin, Hungary and England.

In 2015 he founded, along with Yiannis Sakellis, Nicolas Iordanou and Sylvia Nicolaides the Kimonos Art Center in Paphos, where he currently lives and works.
