Τρομάρας

Theatre AntiLogos presents the children play “Tromaras”, based on Georgios Biziinos’ novel and adapted by Andri Theodotou. Following the success of our first children's theatrical production, “The Triplets and the Dragon of the apple”, with 100 performances in whole of Cyprus, AntiLogos presents another folk tale, which is coming to life on 17th of September.

The hero of this fairytale is a thin and weak boy, Thanasis, who was scared so easily, so the other children gave him the nickname "Tromaras". But Thanasis did not want them to call him like that, so our hero decides to fight his fear and finds himself the protagonist in a great adventure.

“Tromaras” was released in 1884, along with two other children's short stories and is the story of a boy who no longer wants to be mocked by other children and wants to prove to himself firstly - and then to others - that he is smart and can overcome all of his fears. Bullying is not a recent phenomenon, but today we are very concerned about it, this is why we chose this story. We wanted to talk to children with sweetness and sincerity, about bullying and diversity, and about the power we all hide inside and that we are able to surpass our difficulties and our fears.

The play is in Modern Greek language.
