Proyecto IXIM
In this Guatemalan duo, Gabriela and Sergio suggest a fusion of the vibrant marimba notes and the smoothness of the violin that, together with some electronic touches, reach new musical colours and notions.
Gabriela Gonzales plays the violin and the marimba and sings along the melodies of Guatemalan and European compositions. Sergio Marroquin plays the marimba and is the director of the duo. Gabriela and Sergio belong to the musical project IXIM, based in Huehuetenango-Guatemala.
This event is organised by Canicula Puppets, through its project for cultural exchange El Puente.
