Oranges, Toothbrushes and Other Stories
Vassilis Christofi was born in 1990 in Cyprus and graduated from Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts, London in 2013. His work has been exhibited in England and in Cyprus. His first solo show is titled ‘Oranges, Toothbrushes and Other Stories’ and the opening will take place on the 26th of September, 7:30pm at the Cornaro Institute, Larnaca (23 Mehmet Ali Street).
The exhibition will include paintings and drawings. The work involves personal subjects derived from everyday and past experiences through a process of reflection. The title refers to the process by which these subjects tend to be transformed into symbols and the possibilities that that creates for expression.
