Borrowed Shoes
A solo, a cappella musical performance created and based on emotional connotations transformed depending on instinct, the space and the country it takes place in and also on its guests.
Christina Maxouri “borrows” old and new melodies and performs them a Capella, she narrates excerpts of texts by Hatzidakis, Elitis, Leivaditis, Shakespeare et al. as she plays on a glockenspiel, a clarinet and a small baglamas in a handmade, ‘at home’ concert, leaving room to abolish the distance between the audience and the interpreter, where there is space to the unexpected elements of co-existence.
“Borrowed shoes” was first performed in December 2013 and since January 2015 they have been traveling in Greece and abroad.
